IAC Opens Manufacturing facility in China

International Armoring Corporation (IAC) announced today that they have opened a sales office in Beijing, China and an assembly/manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China

Ogden, UT – June 12, 2006 – International Armoring Corporation (IAC) announced today that they have opened a sales office in Beijing, China and an assembly/manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China. This decision was based on the increased demand for armored passenger vehicles in China and keeping competitive with regional competition. The manufacturing facility will also assist in producing vehicles more economically for other countries within the region, with the principle demand coming from China. The design, engineering and component preparation, for all these vehicles, will be done in the Ogden, Utah facility.

IAC expects to produce between 70 – 80 level III (high powered handgun protection) armored vehicles in the first year. The average up armoring charge per vehicle is $60,000 (without the price of the vehicle). Projections estimate by year 3, production of 250+ vehicles per year in the China facility. Both the sales office and production facility in China will be managed by U.S. citizens (Utah residents) with locale labor doing the actual production, using the same business model as other IAC facilities.

With worldwide headquarters in Ogden, Utah, IAC has grown to be the premier manufacturer of armored passenger vehicles in the world. Known for their use of light weight armoring materials and proprietary designs, IAC’s vehicles are lighter, offer better protection and maintain their original appearance. IAC now has manufacturing plants and service facilities in 12 different countries. Over 5,000 vehicles have been modified and shipped to more than 50 different countries since 1993. In addition, IAC has built vehicles for 34 different foreign Presidents and Heads of State (the majority from the Ogden facility). Governments, subcontractors, militaries, international corporations, religious leaders, vehicle manufacturers, and other wealthy individuals use IAC vehicles and technology.
